The client used a third-party system to manage all employee documentation. They tasked DMC engineers with the development of a document management system that would allow them to manage files internally.
First, DMC engineers retrieved exports from the third-party system. From these exports, document sets were automatically created. The new document sets were programmed to tag folders with useful information about employees such as their date of employment, office location, and title. Superiors, teammates, and other personnel could access files and documents based on the user’s tagged information.
From that management tool, DMC created an automated system that automatically created additional document sets. These sets provided the client with a place to sort, file, and apply custom permissions to all documents.
This solution provided the client with confidentiality protection and eliminated the need for third party systems to manage documents.
